About PAU Ludhiana
The PAU Ludhiana online exam for the PhD course will be conducted between October 14, 2022, to November 24, 2022. The counselling and personal interview will be conducted by the university itself from October 15, 2022, to November 25, 2022. The last date to apply for the Punjab Agricultural University PhD course was October 14, 2022. Candidates who were unable to apply on this date were given the option to apply with a late fee of Rs 1,000 was October 21, 2022. The PAU Ludhiana Round 2 counselling for B.Tech Agricultural Engineering has been conducted on October 12, 2022.
Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) was established in 1962 to support the state of erstwhile Punjab, it was later inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister of India on July 8, 1963. It is a public university, recognised by UGC and offers 83+ courses in varied fields. PAU Ludhiana was named the Best Agricultural University in India in 1995, for its notable contributions to increasing food production, livestock and poultry production in the state and ushering in an era of Green Revolution in India. The Punjab Agricultural University campus spreads over 494 hectares of land. It also has an off-campus area of 1,793 hectares.
PAU Ludhiana courses are offered at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The programmes have several specialisations for the candidates to choose from. The most popular courses offered are B.Sc (Hons), B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, PhD and Diploma. The Punjab Agricultural University fees range from Rs 76,000 to Rs 7.27 lakh approximately. This will vary from course to course based on its degree level and duration.
Punjab Agricultural University course admissions are based on the previous academic merit of the candidate and the marks obtained by them in the entrance exams. Punjab Agricultural University Application Process 2024
The applications is can be done in both online and offline modes for the Punjab Agricultural University admission process. The steps for both are given below:
- Visit the official website (pau.edu).
- From there pay the entrance fee of Rs 5,640 which includes the cost of the PAU Ludhiana application form/ prospectus. (Rs 610 is required for MET Agri and MET Community Service).
- For uploading the application form, candidates must have a valid email ID.
- Recent passport-size colour photos of the candidate with a scanned copy of their signature are required.
- To pay the Punjab Agricultural University admission fees (entrance exam fees), candidates can opt for online payment through credit/ debit card or net banking or pay via the challan mode.
